The Gemini app is an experimental AI assistant designed to enhance your mobile experience. By opting in to the Gemini app, you can make it your primary assistant on your phone, replacing Google Assistant. It is important to note that some voice features available in Google Assistant, such as media control and routines, are not yet supported by the Gemini app. However, you have the flexibility to switch back to Google Assistant in the settings.

Currently, the Gemini app is exclusively available in English within the United States on Android phones with 4 GB of RAM or more, running Android 12 and above.

This official application is provided free of charge and offers users direct access to Google's top family of AI models. With Gemini, users can benefit from various features, including:

• Assistance with tasks like writing, brainstorming, and learning
• Summarizing information and quickly finding data from Gmail or Google Drive
• Generating images instantaneously
• Using text, voice commands, photos, and the camera for innovative assistance
• Prompting Gemini by saying “Hey Google” for help related to content on your phone screen
• Planning activities using Google Maps and Google Flights

For users with access to Gemini Advanced features, they can conveniently access them within the Gemini app.
